Q. When should I start?
Men can start anytime. Women should wait until after the last day of their cycle.
Q. I am a woman, should I take hCG during my cycle?
It’s up to you. Some people have experience lighter cycles, some heavier, some no cramps, some mild or sever.
Q. Where do I get hCG from?

Q. Is the low calorie diet dangerous?
With the HCG hormone, the body does not require a 2000 calorie diet because it is being told to utilize your fat stores that carry more than enough nutrients for your body to function healthily. The low calorie intake is not dangerous because of how your body reacts with HCG and the low calorie intake is scheduled for 20 to 40 days. Some religious groups that fast have lived on a lower calorie diet for longer periods of time.
Q. Why should I choose to do hCG injections over the hCG drops?
HCG injections at Renaissance Medical Aesthetics are self administered into muscle tissue several times a day. This method of HCG delivery was adapted by Dr. Simeons as part of his original diet protocol. At the time, this was the most effective means of restoring HCG levels in the body. Our experience at Renaissance Medical Aesthetics is that the lingual drops and oral tablets are NOT as effective as the injectable HCG.
Q. Do the injections hurt?
HCG injections are quite painless. At Renaissance Medical Aesthetics we use very small insulin needles. Many people have reported barely feeling anything at all when giving themselves the injections, especially with the 28g needle.
Q. Why do some people report having headaches while on the hCG Diet?
When on the HCG diet, you will be restricting the intake of complex carbohydrates, and you will therefore diminish a major source of the body’s fuel. The body, being used to using the fuel it generates from carbohydrates, will have to work a bit harder to get the fuel it needs from stored fats. This could cause a headache until your body gets used to not having so many carbohydrates to work with when seeking an energy source. In addition, since it is often habitual for a person to consume carbs, it can result in a headache due to bodily withdrawal symptoms. The same goes for the consumption of sugary foods and caffeine loaded products: a headache can result when you stop consuming them. After a brief period of adjustment, the headaches will usually cease.
Q. How does hCG affect women who are on birth control?
There is no cause for concern that whatever birth control method will not work while utilizing HCG products, and the birth control will have no influence on the effectiveness of the HCG . HCG injections are in small enough doses that they do not diminish the effectiveness of various birth control methods.
Q. What is HCG and how does it work?
Ans. HCG is a hormone naturally produced in the body. It has many functions and is used medically to treat a variety of conditions. It is the pregnancy hormone. This hormone allows the body to metabolize fat and use it as energy for both mother and fetus. This acts as a “fail-safe” mechanism when energy is needed immediately. For weight loss, we use only a very small amount of HCG to capitalize on this same mechanism. Using HCG in this way does not mimic pregnancy; in fact, it can be safely used by both men and women.
Q. Is HCG Safe?
Ans. HCG is extremely safe. Women may experience very high levels during pregnancy with no adverse affects. The small amount used for weight loss has no know side effects.
Q. Is HCG safe for men?
Ans. The HCG is actually already found in men. It is found in every human tissue, including males and non pregnant women as well as pregnant. The clinical studies conducted at our center show that men generally get even faster results and tend to lose more weight than women.
Q. If HCG works so well for weight loss, why don’t pregnant women lose weight?
Ans. HCG works to mobilize fat for utilization by the body only when there is a significant decrease in calories and fat. For weight loss, a very low calorie diet of all the right foods is used to trigger HCG to help rid the body of fat.
Q. Will my metabolism slow down if I am on a very low calorie diet?
Ans. It is true that normally when cutting back on calories and fat, our body stores fat and our metabolism slows down. This happens because fat is really a life-saving source of stored energy. When a very low calorie diet is used in conjunction with the HCG, the hormone signals the body to used stored fat for energy, and eliminates excess fat reserves. It’s a natural process, so no ill effects on your metabolism will result. The HCG keeps the body from going into starvation mode and holding onto fat as it resets your metabolism.
Q.Wouldn’t I lose the same amount of weight eating a very low calorie diet without HCG?
Ans. You can lose weight simply by eating fewer calories and fat, but because the body stores fat during times of deprivation, you will most likely lose muscle and bone before fat. This causes cellular metabolism to slow down, so in the long run, it would make gaining weight easier, as well as decrease bone density and muscle mass. By using HCG with the low calorie diet, extra fat is mobilized for energy and the rest is eliminated; the low calorie diet is vital in preventing immediate refilling of emptied fat cells. You benefit by preferentially getting rid of excess fat without affecting your bone and muscle. With our physician supervised HCG program at Renaissance Medical Aesthetics in Orange County, California our patients are losing fat not PRECIOUS MUSCLE!
Q. Does the weight loss slow down after the first two weeks? Ans. Many times there is a large amount of weight loss in the first, then a plateau of leveling off. This does not mean that your weight loss has stopped. Typically, inches are being lost continuously while on the program, and after a period of time, patients will experience another large drop on the scale. Weight loss is thus achieved in this stair-step fashion. Remember the HCG program emphasizes fat and inch loss.
Q. Is it ok to skip a meal or protein at one of my meals?
Ans. No you don’t ever want to skip any of your meals. It’s important to eat all of your 500 calories and especially your protein so that you only lose fat and not precious muscle.
Q. Can I exercise daily?
Ans. Low key or no exercise only! Anyone who over exercises will be starving and will want to give up, plus their body will go into starvation mode and they will lose less weight! Your calorie intake is not high enough for this. You can do about 20 min. of walking a day and a few sit ups or push ups if you feel needed. You will not be losing muscle just fat, so when you go back to the gym you won’t skip a beat, you will just be thinner!!! Our patients from Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach, Orange, Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda and other regions of Orange County, California have been losing weight safely and effectively with our doctor supervised HCG diet.
Disclaimer:
HCG is a drug which has not been approved by the food and drug administration as safe and effective in the treatment of obesity or weight control. There is no substantial evidence that HCG increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restrictive diets.
Common uses of HCG: HCG is presently relied upon as a medication for fertility and it is also used to safely promote the production of testosterone in males. It is not approved by the FDA for weight loss.
