V.I Peel Orange County FAQ’s

Vi Peel Orange County FAQ’s

Is there any discomfort associated with the Vi Peel at Orange County Med Spa?

During a V.I. Orange County facial peel, most people feel a mild to moderate stinging sensation while the chemical peel solution is applied and for as long as it remains on the face.  During the treatment, however, we routinely use a hand held fan to quickly cool the skin and diminish any discomfort.

For individuals who have difficulty dealing with discomfort, a mild oral sedative may be recommended. If a mild sedative is used, a friend or family member should be available to drive home after the appointment.

Can the V.I. Peel Orange County be performed on other areas of the body?
Yes.  The V.I. Orange County peel formula for the body is a stronger variation of the V.I. Peel and is specifically designed to treat:

  • Décolletage
  • Chest
  • Back
  • Hands
  • Arms

The V.I. Peel Orange County peel is especially effective in removing sunspots from the hands and chest and eliminating the wrinkles associated with sun damage on the décolletage.

How does the Vi Peel Orange County compare to the Obagi Blue Peel or TCA Peel?

The VI Peel Orange County is almost painless and at orange county med spa we do not require any skin pre-conditioning that is required by the Obagi Blue Peel and other TCA peels when used on skin types four to six.  The VI Peel Orange County has far fewer risks and complications associated with other peels.

H0w many Vi Peels can you do at Orange County Med Spa and how far apart should they be done?

For most patients at Orange County Med Spa we recommend peels should be done three to four times a year starting at puberty to repair sun damage that is already present, and to avoid permanent scarring for those affected by acne. The frequency of the peel depends on various factors, and we recommend a consultation at Orange County Med Spa to determine what is best suited for your individual needs. For extremely damaged skin, the VI Peel can initially be done once a month to get quicker desired results.

How is the Vi Peel at Orange County Med  Spa different from other peels?

Without exception, obsolete peels of the past epitomize the “no pain, no gain” approach to skin care. Before the Vi Peel Orange County the deeper the peel, the more painful, the more downtime, the better the results. The VI Peel is the first peel to combine the strongest and most effective acids, yet it’s virtually painless with little downtime.
